Engineering Workshop Opportunities

The Call for Participation - Engineering Workshops for our 2020 OCP Global Summit is now open! If you are using OCP solutions in your infrastructure, if your software is running on OCP gear or if you are building products based on open specifications, we want to hear about it! Share your experiences, your challenges, and your unique approach to OCP.

If you are looking to adopt OCP, if you are utilizing OCP solutions in your company or if you are interested in becoming a solution provider for OCP products or facilities, this is the conference for you.  We are looking for these types of experiences and subject matter expertise to build our Engineering Workshop schedule.

Our Engineering Workshops run in parallel tracks during our event. Each track is related to our current projects, sub-projects or initiatives. To learn about our projects and respective sub-projects, please click here.   Engineering Workshop Track sessions are made up of collaboratively defined specifications, designs and facilities which are recognized as OCP Accepted™, OCP Inspired™ or OCP Ready™, case studies or white papers utilizing OCP solutions, relevant initiatives and demos of OCP integrated solutions.

This is your opportunity to shine and present your know-how and expertise that benefits our open community (not a commercial for your organization/product).

The following tracks have an open Call for Participation and are accepting submissions for their workshop sessions at the Global Summit:

  • Advanced Cooling Solutions
  • Rack and Power
  • Servers
  • NIC 3.0/HPC
  • Network Hardware
  • Network Software(e.g. SONiC, SAI, ONL)

  • Data Center Facilities (DCF) & Modular Data Center (MDC)
  • Systems & HW Management
  • Storage
  • Integrated Solutions (based on OCP products)
  • Case Studies (using OCP products)
The tracks below are using only their monthly project meetings to build an agenda for their Engineering Workshop sessions. If you wish to present in one of these tracks below, please contact the respective Project Leads:
  • Open System Firmware (OSF)
  • Open Domain Specific Architecture (ODSA)
  • Open Accelerator Infrastructure (OAI)

Keynote Opportunities
The Call for Keynotes is also open! The Keynote sessions for the OCP Global Summit are editorially selected by the OCP Foundation from ‘at large’ submissions and from submissions made by Summit sponsors.

If you are using OCP solutions in your infrastructure, if your software is running on OCP gear or if you are building products based on OCP specifications, we want to showcase your experiences, your challenges, and your unique approach to OCP. These stories should highlight your company’s journey to open, tie into our Summit theme, define what OCP means to your ecosystem or infrastructure and why this story is important/relevant to the audience.

We are looking for these types of one-of-a-kind experiences and subject matter expertise to share on our main stage! Come and tell us your story and what OCP means to you!

OCP is also using the Linklings application for the Call for Keynotes and to gather presentation materials. Click here to create an account, then submit a keynote abstract for the 2020 OCP Global Summit. The submission period ends Friday, November 29 at 5pm PST.

Questions of PTP Linux stack presentation

Will Chao(趙志偉)

Hi,

I saw there is a PTP (IEEE-1588) description in the following OCP document:

https://146a55aca6f00848c565-a7635525d40ac1c70300198708936b4e.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/images/0f94050c633d282949069754c1446a401eb1f38a.pdf

And there is an block diagram in it like this:

Few questions for this architecture:

1.      On which hardware platform is this application stack been applied to?

2.      For applying such application, is any specific interface defined for “Clock driver” and “HW Clock” implementation?

thanks

The ODSA aims to create an open architectural interface between chiplets for chiplet-based products, to enable a marketplace of inter-operable chiplets that support this open interface. This will enable product designers to compose products from multiple chiplet vendors to create custom domain-specific architectures.

In this survey, the ODSA would like to learn what level of information protection companies would require, to participate in the ODSA ecosystem. Please answer the questions to the best of your ability.
